Questions Regarding Parent-Child Activities

Greetings! I just joined the community as part of my search for more activities that my daughter and I can do together. We currently live in Woodinville in that little corner on the map where Woodinville-Duvall Rd and Avondale meet. We've spent most of our time in Seattle (especially since we both go to school in the city), but this summer I won't be working and my daughter doesn't need to go to summer camp, so I'm looking for things to do together. This seems a rather difficult since most of the activities we're interested in are usually either for adults or children and not both. We're looking for resources specifically for:

  • Beginning ASL (American Sign Language)

  • Parent-Child Yoga

  • Knitting Group (a la Stitch 'n' Bitch)

  • And possibly beginning Mandarin (my daughter loves everything to do with China)

If you happen to know of language tutors or yoga/knitting groups in or around Redmond and Woodinville we could access easily by bus, I would love to hear from you.

I know it's early to be planning for the summer, but I usually don't plan for it until it's too late, and I don't want to spent our time exclusively playing video games.

On an aside, I do have a small budget to work with and can also provide services in trade: I'm a writer, editor, and Reiki Master for those who are interested.

Be well!
